Marietta is the nation's first formally recognized Wild Burro Range.
During the late 1800's, miners used burros as pack animals while
prospecting for gold and silver.
The descendants of those burros now roam freely near the ruins of the
historic Nevada mining town of Marietta.

Wild burro, horses and migratory deer roam through the Mina
area.
The Chukar Dove and partridge are abundant and provide excellent hunting
in season.

These Big Horn Sheep were visible from our RV Park.
